Description: Blender fluid simulation...reloaded. This is the biggest scene I've made in Blender to date. There are more polygons in the scene that can put George Lucas to shame, (10,000,000 triangles or so in every single frame) There is no texture as it is mostly a fluid and particle motion study. The final fluid simulation data is 10GB and requires the full 1.5GB of RAM to render. Total calculation time for this 10 second video: 70 Hours. - by mpan3 http://mpan3.homeip.net/ |

Qumbes ::: Favorites 2008-01-05 22:02:33 Im starting to use blender, could u please make a simple tutorial for this its crazy! __________________________________________________
kick52 ::: Favorites 2008-01-05 11:47:21 There is a "realworld size" setting in the "ad" or "bn" tabs somewhere. __________________________________________________
OGMO11 ::: Favorites 2008-01-05 04:50:31 still looks like that movie: the day after tomorrow... NICE!!!!!!!!!! __________________________________________________
SEspider ::: Favorites 2007-12-31 17:22:56 Could you please make a simple video tut on how to do this? It doesn't have to be as detailed as this one. Just something simple and fast that explains particles, flow, wind etc for us NOOBS. None of the other tuts explain it. This is the BEST Sim I've ever seen from Blender. __________________________________________________
SEspider ::: Favorites 2007-12-31 03:54:47 MORE! MORE! __________________________________________________
nnatthhann ::: Favorites 2007-12-27 06:22:34 wow. im so horrible with blender its disgraceful. good job __________________________________________________

wakeupfist ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 15:54:57 The specs you specified are more modest than I expected. This looks like it was simulated with a skyscraper full of CPUs! I mean, look at that!!! __________________________________________________
DragonFangFilms ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 22:03:28 lalagabor, have you seen elephants dream? or any of the other blender film projects? i suggest you do before you start mocking people for using a free package. some people have more money than sense, obviously a program like 3ds max is better (some might argue against that) but for what it is, blender is an amazing program and you CAN make great films with it. the tool is there, talent is all that limits a film maker from making a good film. __________________________________________________
sexiwebcamboy ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 19:58:22 Good but without texture :-( lost render time? __________________________________________________
samuelrj ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 23:40:23 looks like the day after tomorrow __________________________________________________
llamaman12349 ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 21:10:56 *jaw drops* very nice. how many seperate buildings are there? do you know? __________________________________________________
ZachLOVESAubrey ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 23:05:58 Very nice, i loved it __________________________________________________
mpan3 ::: Favorites 2007-12-14 01:22:22 10 (meters); particle is set to 0.8 i believe, and sub-div wasn't used. (since the feature wasn't implemented back in 2.43!) __________________________________________________
6327isc ::: Favorites 2007-12-14 00:19:46 I have 2 GBs to use up - Horray, I qualify for a scene that good! :D Question - What was the realworld scale and particle amount you did in that scene (the domain fluid, mainly) ? It is the most beautiful Blender animation I've ever seen, and I have been working on recreating a similar scenario since I first saw it. __________________________________________________ |
