joekiddlouischama ::: Favorites 2006-12-31 18:34:53 Also, if you slow down the video from the baseline camera angle (not seen here), you'll find that Olajuwon was in position to make the block, except that at the moment of truth, K.J. just went up an extra notch for the in-your-face flush. There's no shame in that, though. Olajuwon is one of the ten greatest basketball players ever, and K.J. dunked on plenty of big guys. Again, I recommend reading Olajuwon's autobiography. __________________________________________________
joekiddlouischama ::: Favorites 2006-12-31 16:55:38 C) Read Olajuwon's autobiography, "Living the Dream," where he states that he is 6'11" but listed at 7'0". As for K.J. being 6'3", where they hell did you come up with that nonsense? K.J. was 6'1" and usually the smallest guy on the court. The Rockets didn't "cream" the Suns, they squeaked by in two brutal seven game series, both of which K.J. dominated, averaging 27.2 points and 9.6 assists per contest over the fourteen games. __________________________________________________
joekiddlouischama ::: Favorites 2006-12-31 16:53:03 B) B) They didn't draw the circle back then, but it was still understood that there could be no charges underneath the hoop. They just drew the circle later to be clearer about it, but the officiating has always been that way. __________________________________________________
joekiddlouischama ::: Favorites 2006-12-31 16:45:43 A) No, if you'd watched the entire play unfold, you'd see that Olajuwon was lurking under the basket and waiting for K.J. like an enormous panther, and K.J. just jammed it in his face. K.J.'s quickness did put Olajuwon back on his heels, but that shows how incredible K.J. was, and Olajuwon went back because K.J. knocked him backwards. __________________________________________________
pickzkickz ::: Favorites 2006-12-30 23:24:41 KJ is 6'3".MVP is 6'10"!If Dream did go straight up, how does he backpedal after the elbow.3rd,that circle crap did'nt exist back then.Yes it's a mans league.Which is why The Rockets creamed little kj and his weak Suns.Only 1 HOFer here!I don't see the video of Olajuwon coming out of nowhere to swat kj!Its not like he was under the rim waiting (like Hot Rod was), kj is quick and he just beat him to the rim. Had he been in front of it, the ball would have been deflated, like the suns were! __________________________________________________
joekiddlouischama ::: Favorites 2006-12-30 21:31:19 Olajuwon was under the basket, where charges are not called. He also bumped K.J. and raked him across the face, hence the call. Imagine someone crying that a 6'1" guy physically brutalized a 7'0" guy! The NBA is a man's league, son. __________________________________________________
pickzkickz ::: Favorites 2006-12-26 20:43:44 ^^^ suckass! nice elbow, kj! __________________________________________________
Neibs ::: Favorites 2006-11-04 11:56:48 Awesome Video. One of the best dunks I've ever seen. __________________________________________________ |
