woodgatejack ::: Favorites Hehehe. I was rooting for him! Keep trying, Ninja Tortiose, don't let the fact you have stumpy little limbs and a big, heavy shell stop you! 07-08-27 12:54:03 _____________________________________________________

ChristianPaul75 ::: Favorites Well, I don´t think anyone knows for sure how old these animals can get. It seems to me like every few years their maximum age is increasing. ;) German Wikipedia says "more than 100 years" and an article I´ve read recently said "up to 120 years". Anyway it seems he is in his best years now. ^^ 07-07-01 06:29:48 _____________________________________________________
hakugan ::: Favorites Wow. That is truely amazing. Isn't the record for Greek Tortoise around 160 years of age? He might go another 100 years!!... 07-07-01 02:30:25 _____________________________________________________
ChristianPaul75 ::: Favorites Yeah, that means he´s 8 years older than me. And that´s only how long we´ve got him. He was already adult when my parents bought him. Last year I had to take him to the vet for the first time ever and the doctor estimated his total age as 50 to 60. ^^ A tortoise´s lifespan is truely amazing. 07-06-30 13:00:41 _____________________________________________________
hakugan ::: Favorites 40 years! That is so Cool! 07-06-30 10:46:07 _____________________________________________________
ChristianPaul75 ::: Favorites Funny, but I´m not surprised! ;) We´ve got a greek tortoise in our family for 40 years now. A long time ago, we made part of our garden a refuge for him and put up a fence of wire around the area. The problem was that he soon found out how to climb that fence! ;) Our solution was a fence of solid wood that he can´t look through. 07-06-30 10:17:19 _____________________________________________________
