USAGymnast ::: Favorites Amen to that. 07-09-12 22:30:15 __________________________________________________
drdirs ::: Favorites Errr.. would Americans be willing to pay enough for goods not made in sweatshops? Because if that were the case, Walmart wouldn't be producing goods in sweatshops to begin with. So why keep attacking Walmart for running sweatshops when all you have to do to send a message they have to respect, is to simply stop shopping there. 07-09-11 18:06:29 __________________________________________________
steveisgood ::: Favorites I really dig Penn Jillette and I this is a great show, but Penn does tend to worship at the altar of the free market, and clips like this serve only to rationalize exploitation. Still, a great show, and I hope to see more. 07-09-11 16:00:54 __________________________________________________
RedRocks444 ::: Favorites A lot of sweatshops in Asia pay more, on paper anyway. It is also very common that people aren't paid and are over worked. I'm curious to know what kind of oversight Wal-Mart actually has over the factories. 07-09-11 07:55:35 __________________________________________________
USAGymnast ::: Favorites Haven't you studied history before? It's called the industrial revolution. 07-09-09 21:19:02 __________________________________________________
USAGymnast ::: Favorites More people would be working for them if they were good for them. 07-09-09 21:18:30 __________________________________________________

LeprechaunEater ::: Favorites Are Penn & Teller really supporting sweartshops? 07-09-08 21:42:53 __________________________________________________
LeprechaunEater ::: Favorites Yeah I know. They could be paid 2 cents an hour but with sweatshops they get 4 cents an hour. Instead of eating dirt once a day, now they can eat dirt twice a day. These damn hippies just don't get it. These people like to work 14 hours days and get a slave wage for their back braking work, they're grateful. And as a bonus, if they complain or try to unionize, you can hit them with a whip. Hope you get the sarcasm. 07-09-08 21:41:32 __________________________________________________ |
