Sound effects were from theForce dot net under fan film resources. I just composited different sounds that seemed suitable to me, to make it sound good.

Just FYI, this was rendered in multiple passes. One pass was the Star Destroyer. A second was Slave1. A third was the starry background, and a 4th was the planet which is just a flat disk with texture (texture created in Photoshop) applied in the luminance channel. Then I combined all these elements in After Effects and added the soundtrack and lens flare there.

yeah it took 2 days of straight render, that's 48 hours to render because I did it on one computer without a render farm. I have faster computers now so I think it could be done overnight.

Hey I like it, great work! Yeah to do this scene that I did you need a pretty expensive 3D package. I'm just fortunate that my work pays for it. But there are some free 3D software. Look for open source software and a program called Blender, it's totally free and VERY good.

It was done in post with After Effects 7, using lens flares from Knoll Light Factory, probably the best collection of lens flare effects. John Knoll works with ILM so I found his collection of lens flares essential in what I do professionaly.

Great job! Wish I was able to do 3D animation. For now, my collected miniatures, and my limited resources will have to do. If you get a chance, please check out my humble work in progress. I am Martok2112, and my video is called "Star Wars Test Chase". Keep up the great work.

This is awesome man we are working on one of our own but it is taking quite some time due to our slow computers.
